📅 111 Appointments Missed in August

In August 2025, 111 appointments were wasted because patients didn’t cancel when they couldn’t attend.

If you can’t make your appointment, please call Roathwell Surgery as soon as possible to cancel.
This simple action helps us offer that slot to someone else in need.

Efficiency

Please assist us in maintaining the utmost efficiency of our service by minimising both the queue at the desk and the wait times on the telephone. Your cooperation is greatly appreciated.

• Request your repeat medication via NHS Wales App. The App will notify you when the prescription is printed.
• Select a 'preferred pharmacy' so your signed prescription is automatically sent to the pharmacy instead of collecting it from our reception desk.
• Phone after 8am for same day appointments and if possible, after 10am for routine appointments.
• Check in for your appointment at the self check in screen in reception.
• Telephone the surgery after 2pm for your test results. Please wait 5 working days after a blood test and 10 working days after a scan.
• Please ensure your contact details with us are current.
• Requests for copies of notes can take 28 days to process.
• Requests for private work can take 6 weeks to process.
